Rooted in the Palmetto State’s medical community

In 1981, the South Carolina Medical Association created Members’ Insurance Trust to ensure its member physicians, staff, and their families had access to the level of health care they prioritized for patients. Ever since, MIT has continued to provide access to exemplary statewide health insurance coverage and customer service to over 5,000 individuals as a self-funded multiple employer welfare arrangement.

At MIT, our members come first. We prioritize transparency and accountability, providing our members with customized health care analytics and high-quality, low-cost provider options.
